Not working even for powered external HDD

I actually thought that it was because there was not enough power for the HDD, so I got an external HDD that comes with its own AC adapter/power, but the dreaded message saying that external HDD has to be connected directly to PS4 cannot be avoided.

Controllers and mic would cut out randomly and not come back on. Other players could barely hear me through my PlayStation gold headset mic when plugged into this device. Not worth returning or exchanging since I paid so little.

Don't waste your money

The ports don't work properly so they don't charge your controller when the PS4 is in rest mode and the they don't allow the official PS4 headset dongle to transmit data so you can use it. Worst accessory I've ever bought and I used to buy MadCatz stuff lol.

After plugging it in I learned that my external hard drive would no longer work and that my PS4 Sony Bluetooth dongle for my headset no longer worked either. The only thing that would work plugged into this device was the wireless PS4 controller cable.

Disconnected frequently

Infuriating to try and play with during a game. Had to unplug it the first day, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Great USB 3.0 Hub
