Wouldn’t read my external hard drive nor charge my controllers. Returned. Would not recommend to standard ps4 owners at least. It covers the optical drive slot and you can't plug an external hard drive into any of the ports. It should have a disclaimer attached to it so people don't buy it thinking bit will work with external hard drives.

I understand how this could be an inconvenience for you. This HUB probably does not provide enough voltage to power an external hard drive just by the USB. It is mostly for Data Transferring. We are always here to help you in case you have need any help with it and thanks for your preference.

When you plug the external drive into it, a msg pops up that says it has to be connected DIRECTLY to the PS4, so it won't work for that. It also blocks the disc, so you'd have to remove it anytime you changed the disc. I have most games on digital download, but a few on disc.
