Unfortunately as other reviewers note, this does not work with external HDD, thereby negating any true value or use. There was a small note wrapped around the product inside the box with this warning, but nothing I could see on the outside of the box or in the product information on the Best Buy website.

I certainly apologize about the situation with your 4-Port USB Hub. However, it is important to consider that this product was not designed to work with external hard drives. If you so desire, you can apply the eschange period at your local Best Buy with your receipt.
