I was curious if it'll work via hub and it did! No magic, no spells or other mumbo-jumbo, just connected and had them both seen by the receiver right away!

It works great with my kindle, but does not work with my iPhone 4 docking station. The docking station works when the USB is plugged into an adapter at the wall, but not when the USB is plugged into the hub. The docking station light will come on, signaling power, but there must not be enough juice to give a charge.

Needed for Surface 3
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The base surface 3, not the surface 3 pro, does not provide enough power to it's usb port to support certain usb devices. Because of this, I had to buy this port hub in order to support a 32gb PNY usb that I've been using for music in my truck. This port hub does exactly what it is meant to and I haven't had any problems with it at all. I just wish the surface 3 wouldn't require this for compatibility with usbs.
