A: It is a USB to a Mini USB. The Mini USB plugs into the unit and the USB plugs into the PC.

Q: As followup to response to my 9/19 question: It is the USB SEAGATE DRIVE that is plugged into power, and not working with the hub. I am asking for a USB DRIVE recommendation, known to be compatible with the hub. (My other devices work with the hub.)

A: We tested this Hub with 2.5" Seagate and Toshiba Hard Drives and they worked without a problem.

Q: Can this splitter run 3 tv's simultaneously from one cable box?

A: I would assume not. Usually tv signals run through HDMI cords from cable to the television itself, not USB. I would recommend a HDMI splitter, however you will get bad quality picture on the tvs. Companies do this so that you spend more money and buy a new cable box for each tv.

Q: need this for our TV doesn't have enough ports for a ROKU key. will that work?

Exactly What I Needed
This meet my needs perfectly. Now that you can connect usb peripherals to your iPad/iPhone with the lightning to usb adapter, you can connect almost any usb device that you couldn't before but most things require additional power along with your pad/phone's charging cable. The Insignia 4-Port USB powered hub meets that need. I use my iPad for recording music and plug and power a recording interface, keyboard and flash drive (for saving or moving files) into the 4-port hub and keep a port available in case I need to upload a file from my pc or phone. The hub is fast/instantaneous and meets my needs perfectly. The photo on the packaging doesn't show the power cable but it's inside the box. I had to open mine at the store in front of the checkout person before I took it home to make sure because the picture doesn't show the plug and it doesn't mention the plug on the packaging either.

No more searching for available ports
Thanks to this device, I no longer have to feel around the back of my computer to find an open port. Having four ports staring me in the face makes it so much more convenient for charging and plugging in thumb drives and other USB interfacing devices.
