    This hub works as advertised and powers USB 3.0 devices (as well as being backward compatible with USB 2 and 1). I am using it as an add-on hub to a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Dock and all devices are recognized and it works transparently.

    I bought the first one for my Windows PC and it's been great. All of my devices hook up with no problem, it charges my phone and tablet and the data transfer is good. This one I bought for my wife's Mac and she has no issues either.
