It's compatible with the computer, and the data connection speed feels fast. Also, the color matches well with my dark brown desk, so it's very nice to put on the desk. So I am very satisfied.

I needed more, so I went to Best Buy and got her what she needed. This item is small, it's powered, and works great. Not much more to say about it.

I needed to hook up a externally attached USB disk drive. The drive was not recognized unless plugged directly into the computer. It works fine for other USB devices

It solves the problem that laptops are very stingy with their USB ports, and having power helps. I have been using it to transfer data from old drives to a new one. 4 stars because it feels a little flimsy and has dropped connections a couple of times when lightly jostled.
