    I wanted to save a little money and buy an open box product, since this was going to be used as a display connected to a laptop. The TV didn't come with a remote, which renders the TV absolutely useless, as you can't go through the "setup" process without it. So, instead of running through the hassle of boxing it up and returning it, I purchased a generic remote from Amazon that was advertised to work with this TV. Well, it doesn't, because the TV won't "pair" with the remote. Absolute waste of time and money.
