Beyond that I cannot recommend the product for a few reasons. The noise takes some getting used to. At first it just hums and drops ice into a bin. After a while it begins to creak, groan, and squeal. If it makes noise that it shouldn't, I turn the ice maker off and let it thaw before restarting it. This fixes it most of the time. Cleaning this ice maker becomes a chore. The "clean" function built in simply runs water through the filterless system. If you run it for long enough, you find chunks of black/green growths coming out of the drainage tube. How do you know if you got it clean enough? You don't. I have tried alcohol, peroxide, descaler, bleach, vinegar, lemon juice, and gallons of water. It takes at least an hour of running the clean cycle before pieces of whatever grows in this thing is *probably* gone. I have contacted Insignia three times about this cleaning issue. I received one response when my warranty was still valid. The response was to replace my machine (which didn't address the issue). So, aside from the filterless system turning your ice into a health hazard for yourself, friends, and family, the company has done little to help me actually service the product.
