Looking over the reviews i had the same issue it lasted a year. Great ice when it worked i bought the extended warranty curious to see how that works since they dont make this anymore.

This ice maker is terrible. It is 100% normal for ice makers to make some noise, this however is not. It makes a very loud motor noise like the motor is about to freeze up. I wish I could post a video. It is ridiculous! We have had to turn it off several times. It was bad enough that this gift arrived in its original packaging so it was no longer a surprise, but now will need to return or replace it (but no longer have the box) because it is definitely not working right! If I could give it zero stars I would!

My wife purchased this for the kitchen. Noisy from the compressor and cooling fan. Runs nearly 24/7 because the ice isn't refrigerated so it'll melt then get cycled into ice again. The idea of just one size ice cube sucks compared to other brands. The light is just a light, noting special about it.

Very loud. This is my second nugget ice maker to fail. I only used distilled water to avoid sediment or mineral build up which is what caused my first machine to fail. This Ice machine stopped making ice right around 16-17 months old. Best Buy won’t service it, but I’m hoping to find a private party who will repair it. I don’t want to throw another one in a landfill. Very disappointed in Best Buy’s customer service and the company’s sustainability overall. For $350ish, this ice maker should have lasted longer.

Makes the best ice, perfect consistency and nugget size.

This ice maker is awesome makes so much ice keeps drinks cold for hours. I don’t regret this purchase. Only had one issue where ice would freeze inside the unit. After running self clean and unplugging for some time, the issue resolved. Nice unit, great quality.

This machine makes a noise when making ice. The ice is little square pellets. Definitely do not use tap water in it. It lasted 18 months before it stopped making ice. It’s not easy to clean. I would recommend this.

Bought this in 04/2022 and 6 months later is dead. Water is leaking from reservoir. Been making a horrible noise since it was setup. It makes ice quickly which is great but I’ve been very disappointed with the overall lifespan of it.

Makes ice fast! And I love that it is the chewable ice, and not the ovals like other ice machines. Have zero complain\ts and would purchase again in a heartbeat!

Stopped working after 10 months, waiting to see how the warranty will be handled. It is also very loud and gets worse the older it gets. Would recommend the GE Opal as an alternative.

Not a good quality product. Very noisy and it lasted a year and 3 months. Of course the warranty is out. I would not recommend this product.

Worked wonderfully until it didn’t. It just stopped after about 2 years and the machine seemed to get dirty quickly. Glad I bought Geek Squad

You know, the little nuggets? Yeah, that's what it does and it does it all. Haven't ran it empty in a 3 person house with daily fills of water bottles. Volume is probably overkill for 2 or less. Unless you want those good pieces, then, it's the only option.

This is a very nice looking unit. It makes the ice all day long if you want it to. I usually run it During the day when I’m at home and at night time and when I’m away I just stop the ice making feature. The ice will eventually melt back into the water tray until you turn it back on and it will start reproducing the ice again. The noise is not too bad. After the first couple of days I got used to it. I usually have my television on so it drowns it out for the most part. I have been using it for at least a month with no issues whatsoever. I’m actually thinking of getting one for my daughter who likes to have parties. It is definitely the right ice for my mixed adult beverages. Any other time of the day I’m drinking iced water so it helps me to stay hydrated. This is definitely a great unit .

Bought this July 2022 and here it is March 2023 and it will no longer cool to keep the ice it makes. Also very noisy and had to clean.

I like it it makes a lot of ice and keeps it cold I also like the fact it has a cleaning feature and a light it convenient if your getting ice at night no turning on all the lights the only thing that is bothersome is the noises it makes you may think it’s broken but it’s not

It has made a very loud noise since we first turned it on. Now it has started to intermittently make a noise that sounds like it may explode. I have to turn it off and let it sit for a few minutes and turn it back on.
