This machine cooled a space very quickly. Unfortunately, the exhaust to the window is poorly made and very stiff, meaning that it can only fit in one way. The piece that fits into the window opening would not stay in place. Please note that this unit does not have a drip tray. They expect you to buy a hose and siphon out the water (not going to happen).

Good unit for the price. However when I installed it the tubing wouldn't stay secure and I had to use Guerilla glue to keep it from slipping out and I ended up making quite a mess with all the glue so that is not ideal. Not sure if I received a faulty unit or if that's just how they come standard.

This handy air conditioner was just the right size for my daughters room. Price was right too!

Great little unit. Not too loud and we run it the whole day without problems.

Great price and powerful cooking. Love the swing feature that alternates the blades to move air better. This was 200 dollars less than a comparable Frigidaire unit that didn’t have the same features.

Cools very well. Just wished I had paid attention to the fact it did not have a heat pump.

This unit has a great design with easy functionality & I really love the dehumidifier function as I’m able to run the unit on Low & it’s quiet & keeps my room very comfortable. I recommend it.

Occasionally when it is first turned on, none of the buttons are responsive to changing the settings. The sound is audible, but the settings aren't able to be changed. Let it run for a bit and things are back to normal. Keeps the room cooler than it would be without it there anyway.

This is a nice unit. It functions as described. I like it.

Had for less that month and it broke. There is a timer, but it does not turn off when it reaches the temperature you set it to. The fan is constantly running and it will cool only to get it to the temperature you set. So in the middle of the night it woke me up with a loud noise, then my room filled with the smell of burning metal. I unplugged it and waited a day to plug it back in. Smell was still there so I called Best buy. The guy that answered the phone said I had to call Insignia and when I asked for the number he told me to Google it. So I called Insignia and after almost an hour I was told I would be contacted via email to figure out what to do. That was last week. Never again.

Got a great price for deal of the day! Hopefully it does well this summer!

I wish it was a little stronger but overall for the price this is a great product

Highly recommend for upstairs. I use the fan or cool mode on low, med or high. Does not produce any water. Just need window approx 4 inches for plastic insert with hose.

We used this unit in a church Sunday school room because the AC system duck work does not supply enough cool air to be comfortable. It is at the end of the supply run.

You have to set it to the lowest setting for it to cool (I think it was 60 something) even if the room is 90+, so not sure how well the thermostat works. It does cool, but not nearly as well as I thought it would. It could be that I have a defective unit. I only use it infrequently, so not sure yet.

Works awesome cools off my room perfect! Just be careful with the hose it does breakdown after a few years I used flex tape.
