Great unit for the place
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s seems to work good so far. Cooling a living room kitchen and dining room. Has not been real hot yet so we will see but seems cold enough. Has remote , timer , fan, dry and cools. No complaints yet. Vents open and close with turn on and can have vents swing up and down while running to spread air around better ... overall good unit for a good price

Good deal, small reservoir
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good deal and puts out nice cool air for a decent price. If using it as a dehumidifier, make sure you buy a drain hose to run outside. The reservoir is small and will shut down the machine fairly quickly without a drain hose.

Woke good
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easier to bring out in the summer vs the window unit I had. It’s kind of loud and you have to get something to drain it and then find a place to drain it. That part is a bit of a pain but other than that works pretty good. I have it set up in my kitchen and it cools that room and most of the adjoining family room

Gets the job done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in an apartment that came with one crappy window unit in the living room and super old crank windows. I finally broke down and bought this thing because I was tired of not being able to sleep comfortably in the bedroom. Works like a charm and most days I just have this thing turned on instead of my old window unit. I noticed a small drop in my energy bill. Only thing is that it is kinda loud but I was used to it in no time.

Portable air conditioner, dehumidifier and fan
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed an air conditioner for my upstairs, without the hassle of a window unit. I had the unit initially installed, made it easier to watch how it was done, so I could later move it as needed. This unit is perfect for my large bedroom, cools well, dehumidifies the air when needed. The unit is loud when cooling, but I sleep well with the nose acting like “white noise”. Good investment for the price,

A life saver in the Georgia Heat
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This time last year our main floor A.C. unit went out at the worst possible time; Two-days before my daughters High School graduation and during one of Georgia's marathon heat waves. I bought this as a temporary solution, but a year and two months later, we've yet to replace our A.C. unit and this little thing is still keeping us cool, calm and collective. Mind you, the coverage area is only 450-Feet and we have a 700 square foot TWO-Story family room. When the room starts to get a little toasty, we just crank this baby up, point the air flow towards the ceiling fan and "BAM" instant cool down. I can't recommend this unit enough. Best of all, it's cut down our electric bill. The only reason why I gave it 4-stars is because nothing is 100% perfect and it can be a little bit of a hassle running the exhaust pipe to a window. Otherwise, it's an incredible unit for the price.

works well, but has issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this in May of 2018, worked flawlessly... used it until the weather started turning cold and then put it aside for the fall/winter/spring. got it out again this year and started using it... at first everything was fine. then the little shutters that open and close when you turn it off and on stopped opening most of the time. I didn't notice at first as I am used to just grabbing the remote, pushing the button and hearing it turn on behind me... I don't normally look at it when I do so. So on one particularly hot day I noticed it didn't seem to be working well, and then I noticed the shutters were closed. I've tried using some stuff like WD40 to make it open easier and that seems to work sometimes, but it still occasionally doesn't open automatically and I then have to manually force them open. I've also had an issue with it leaking badly! it's supposed to fill the condensation tank and then indicate it needs to be emptied (which by the way, it does NOT come with a hose to connect to the drain nozzle however if you remove the back panel I've found that there is enough room to stick a cup or something up there to catch the water as it drains easily enough). So the entire time I've had it it has never indicated it was full and needed to be emptied. that's actually not that unusual... previous portables I've had took a long time to fill because it's usually so dry here. They usually needed to be emptied once a season of use at least though. As I was going to bed one night after having worked late I noticed the floor, edge of my bed and every thing around the unit was soaking wet. I immediately thought I must have missed a drain notification and for some reason it didn't shut down. So I soaked up what I could and tried to drain the tank... there was only a cup or so of water in it. I thought maybe I needed to tilt it to get it to drain efficiently... and as I tried to do so, I heard water spilling out the bottom. the entire base of the unit was full of water and that's what was leaking... not the condensation tank at all. Of course there is no good way to drain the base of the unit and trying to move it anywhere would cause it to spill more just like trying to tilt it did... so I had to use a straw and suck out the water and spit it in to a water bottle to drain it. The water bottle I used was one of the rather large metal ones with the fancy lid and it easily had enough water in the base to fill that entirely and then some. That hasn't happened again so far, but I am very concerned about that and why it did it.

Can’t beat for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This a/c works great. Bought it cause it was on sale and affordable but it turned out to be a great unit. I use it in my apartment bedroom and it keeps it’s like an ice box if I leave it on all night. Noise wise it just sounds like an a/c running so it’s not that loud really. It is a bulky unit that takes up a lot of space and doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but for the money it does what it’s suppose to and keep my room cold.

Great AC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This AC is great for the price! We set it up easily and it works great. Nice and cool, exactly what you want! Love the remote and how cool it makes the room(s). Excellent price for such a good working AC unit. People have said that it’s loud, I don’t think it is! Obviously to have cold air blowing is going to make noise just like a fan! So no complaints, only happy with compliments. So happy I bought this!

Amazing even from open box purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is terrific in cooling capacity - FAST! the fan and dry features also are handy. Mine is an open box purchase, so while this particular unit has 'sound variation' (sometimes its louder than others) I am still thrilled with it. Not the quietest product on the market I'm sure, but i have it bedroom so the "white noise" has become an essential mainstay (BUT it did take me a week or so to adjust myself to).

Good quality, cools well
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is easy to set up. I wish the air hose was a little longer, but it's a lot easier to get going than a window air conditioner. It has both a dry setting (meaning it doesn't cool as hard and act as a dehumidifier), and a more aggressive setting that pulls moisture out of the air. There's an onboard bucket and you can also drain the water directly into a sink, if it's convenient.

GREAT OPTION FOR THE PRICE
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to supplement my central air b/c on of the rooms on the 2nd floor which is last on the vent line always seems warm. This thing turned that room into the tundra, kind of nice breaking out the afghan in July. Liked it so much I bought a 2nd as I was jealous of my teenage son enjoying his ice cold room. I would absolutely recommend, setting it up takes 15 minutes.

Noisy but works well.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our second Insignia portable AC. We chose a portable because window AC's always look mucky inside after one season and I worry about mold. They cool a room off quickly and of course, do not block a window view. They do make a lot of noise but that does not bother us. We have one in the bedroom and one in an upstairs room; will likely purchase another for the parlor.

Great unit with a strong cold system.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit is ideal for a small and congested area. It performs very well and blows cold and steady. A great price for the performance and reliability. Great for the kids in a small bedroom.

I want one for another room now
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to stay nice and cool on hot, humid summer nights in South Texas without hurting my wallet. I'd say it's great for going to sleep because it keeps you cool/cold, and adds some white noise to the room. I'd also say it's not great to have by you watching a quiet movie, but sports and Michael Bay movies will be just fine.

Something for Entertainment Room
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Movie Room sitting on my garage and in July and August it get's pretty hot in there So, I purchased this to keep it cool while watching the 150 inch projector. This worked like a charm and of course I was really pleased. However, it just stopped blowing cold air in Sept of 2019. I was bit shocked and thought that maybe I did not maintain it properly and since it couldn't be refilled with refrigerant so I just returned with 2 days left on the warranty. BestBuy allowed me to return this for a full refund which I used towards a different portable for the Movie Room.
