It works fine but doesn’t cool down the whole 450 SQFT

Not cool enough for my room which is 16 by 32 cabin

Won't work with casement (crank out) windows without buying an expensive adapter. Returned for refund once got home and saw this. Better product explanation in the description would have been helpful.

I placed this unit in an insulated, attached, garage, with thermal double-paned windows. Set to 73°, it cannot get the temp below 76-79°. Unit is rated @450 sq. ft. and the garage is under 400. Should be rated at 2-300 sqft.

I bought the unit a little over a year ago. I have run on high at about 70 degrees I went to work and came home to water all over my floor from the unit. That was few weeks after i purchased. Then I figure it needed a drain bucket so I hooked a hose up but yet again water all over my floor. Then my final straw was today I came home to the unit leaking water all over the floor again and ruining some of my belongings. I read the instructions and it suppose to shut off when full which it does not this is the worse air conditioner I’ve had.

The day I ordered this product, it was listed as having a "heater" too. I am handicapped so I had it delivered and someone lifted it upstairs. I was stunned to see no heater. I had to saw panel to make it fit the window because the slat covered the vent. The instructions on the Insignia website did not match this item exactly., so uou are on your own.

The manufacturer does not include: 1. No User manual . Had to go online 2. No insulation to put around the window plate for exhaust hose. Had to go out to buy 3. No syphon hose. When the ac unit reaches so many uses it needs to drain water from the unit. Had to go out to buy Would not recommend

I installed the AC unit and after a couple of hours it stopped working. Had to get the online manual because it didn't come with one. Instructions said that the water container needed draining. I did, an hour later, same thing. It did that a few times before I just gave up. Returned it the next day.

I ended up returning this item since it doesn't do the most important thing. Cooling!! It looks great and worked fine but it didn't do much to cool a medium size room. As expected, it was loud but I was okay with that if it actually cooled the room. Honestly, these portable ACs don't do the job well. Window ACs are the way to go if you don't have Central AC system.

It doesn't cool that much space and unless you have a double hung window the exhaust system will require some creativity.

I bought this item for a gift I did not use it I can not recommend something I did not use

Doesn’t cool enough. Will get something else. I purchase the bigger one to have better flow but it doesn’t.

Unit came without all mounting parts, was leaking water throughout the box. Instructions wet and shredded. Upon installation, when vents opened to blow air, there was black mold and a distinct damp, moldy smell! If an inspection happened it was done by some eyeless cave creature! I couldn’t rate this purchasing experience lower!!!!!

Fact! Insignia is a BEST BUY Co, brand! If you don’t mind a portable AC that lets out a gallon of water every 4-5hours yeah picture that! Your home floor will be damaged guaranteed! Avoid this nightmare

It was difficult to assemble and it did not cover a full window. It was more of a headache.

Died after less than 2 years. We didn't even use it that much. We stored it and kept it looking brand new. Even the filter is still brand new because we haven't used it that much. We turned it on today and it's no longer making cold air. Very disappointed.

The box was wet when it arrived and missing the remote.

I had hoped to put this in a hall to cool two rooms, but it's impossible to "tuck" this thing away as it is huge. It also has to be 20 (more like 24) inches away from the walls, which I didn't account for. It is cooling very well and is super powerful, which means that it is also quite loud... Being that it is in a large spare bedroom, it is fine for me, but my guests will likely not be able to sleep with this in the room. The low seems like high, and the high is like a tornado of cool air. All this being said-- it does work like a charm and is well worth the price for such a powerful machine...

This air conditioner worked great right up until it didn’t. It has been 90+ degrees for the last week and this AC decided just to blow non-cooled air. I am very disappointed in what I hoped would be a great purchase.

Easy install. Does NOT cool 450 sq. ft. in 110* weather. I closed off 100 sq ft to see if it worked better, it cools then shuts the cooling feature off to fan only blowing extremely hot air. Very disappointed !
