I'm really enjoying this unit. I purchased it to cool my little upstairs studio, which gets *really* hot from the afternoon sun. It is perfect for what I wanted it for. Two qualifiers: 1) There is no way to select the temperature for cooling. You can choose the type of cooling (wet AC, dry AC, or fan) but no way to set it to a particular temperature that I have been able to find. 2) There is an exhaust hose that goes out the window. The hose is sort of flexible, but not terribly so, so the unit takes up a little more space than I originally anticipated. But those are minor drawbacks compared to the benefits I get.

This portable air conditioner is perfect for our small 400sqft apartment. It cools all night and we've only had to drain the water about 1x per week.

Does exactly what is designed to do. Easy setup, though still dealing with trying to twist on the duct to two different points and watching it pop off at various times. Quiet unit and it performs its job well. Remote is straightforward and I have no cons so far with the unit.

This is one of the best purchases we have made, super simple to set up and it is freezing cold air. We bought this so the central unit wouldn’t have work as hard!

Rather then the window a/c sit on the window, this portable a/c good to travel around your home, and apartment when need. installing is very simple.

Love the versatility of changing to location where i need it. Also better than taking up a whole window. No install uninstall at the end of the summer

Does a great job, works on 120V so can plug in anywhere, on rollers so easy to move, has handle opening on each side so easy to lift if necessary, comes with extendible round duct to direct hot exhaust air to outside through supplied window adapter, and will not disrupt listening to conversation or TV, added 3 year warranty, and got it for $325 including 7% State tax

bought this for a bedroom that does not get very cool and it works very good. easy to set up and only took a few minutes and the room was cool.

Even though this air conditioner blows cold air, it is not an efficient design. This single hose designed unit has a single hose to exhaust hot air outside your house. Since the unit does not have a second hose to intake air from the outside to cool the compressor, the unit uses air from inside your house to cool the compressor. The air from your house is then exhausted outside. Since air is leaving your house, you must open a window to bring air into your house. This is like driving your car with your windows open and the air conditioner on. The air conditioner blows cold, but the interior never gets as cold as it could with the windows closed. I recommend you spend the extra money to buy a dual hose configuration portable air conditioner. Your room will get cold and you will save money overall due to it being more efficient.

I am excited because this machine has kept my electric down during these hot Florida summers and kept me cool! I keep my house at 80 during day and 77-78 at night and use this to make my room sleep worthy like 73 ish. The only issue is the fact it doesn't come with hose for humidity draining so thats the 4 star reasons

It works great for my bedroom cools very quickly. Easy to use and makes my night sleep comftable. Do recommend this portable AC unit.

Unit produces a good amount of cold air fast. You can roll it away when not in use. 1 unit can cool large rooms or a small house.

I ALWAYS WANTED AN INDOOR PORTABLE A/C THAT IF I WANTED I COULD MOVE IT TO ANOTHER ROOM AS LONG AS I HAD A WINDOW TO VENT IT OUT OF AND AN ELECTRIC OUTLET TO PLUG IT IN....... WHEN I SPOTTED THE INSIGNIA PORT. A/C ON THE BEST BUY SITE. I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW REASONABLE THE PRICE WAS. WHEN I READ ALL THE COMMENTS ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ALREADY PURCHASED IT I WAS SOLD........VERY EASY SET UP . WHEN WE TOOK THIS GREAT LOOKING A/C OUT OF THE BOX IT DIDN'T TAKE ANY TIME AT ALL TO SET UP.....THE FLEXI HOSE FIT PERFECT CONNECTING IT TO THE VENT KIT THAT ALSO FIT GREAT OUT MY LIVING ROOM WINDOW........ONCE I TURNED IT ON I HAD COLD AIR COMING OUT IN NO TIME AT ALL AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM........I JUST MIGHT BUY ANOTHER FOR DOWNSTAIRS. Not super quite but not that noisy either. Pretty good for the price. Great for a basement room.

Rolls up to the window easily, the window exhaust is quick and easy to install. Cools a good-sized room quickly and pretty quietly.

I wasn’t sure how well this would work, but it really cools the room down. It was very easy to set up.

Cooling ability is good. However it requires a siphon hose to drain out the water and the AC does not come with one I’ve been to three hardware stores and can’t find one I’ve written to insignia And showed them a picture of what the Home Depot said they have I don’t want to buy it and less I know it’s correct if it’s not correct and I’m not gonna be able to empty the AC it’s going to be returned I suggested to except new y and showed them a picture of what the Home Depot said they have I don’t want to buy it and less I know it’s correct if it’s not correct and I’m not gonna be able to empty the AC it’s going to be returned I suggested to insignia That since the hose is required It should come in the package or have Best Buy sell it

I def recomend this Unit. It cools my big room in minutes. It’s not quiet but it doesn’t bother me. Very affordable.
