Pretty good little freezer!

It was the perfect size (I'm so glad the dimensions online were correct because we literally had 1/2" to spare). Not noisy like other low price models out there and the interior is actually the perfect size for meats. We haven't had any issues with its performance.

We purchased this model (just under a different model name) less than 2 years ago and it just died all of a sudden and stopped working - lost a freezer full of food - didn't even get a full two years out of it! We purchased it for the size - it was just what we needed to fit the space we had! After less than 2 years, the company is not standing by their product!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I had made a solid purchase with this little standup freezer, until I put $400 worth of frozen beef into it. I had opened it up yesterday to put a couple other things in, an the beef was thawed out and the freezer was barely cool. I can hear it running, temp is set to nearly as cold as it gets, but I am left with probably a $200 hit from the beef and $225 for the freezer. Need to return ASAP to stay within the 15 day policy.

There is no reference to a temperature range in any of the information. Best Buy was no help and when I called Insignia they told me that it would only go as low as +14. In order to properly freeze food the temp should be zero or below. Very disappointed and I will be returning it.

Door seal loose when opened

I drove an extra 25 miles to a store that had one in stock when my local store did not. Got it home, un-boxed it, opened the door, and the door seal was loose on the hinge side, from top to bottom. I took it back, this time to the local store, and bought a different freezer. I have to wait a few more days now for the delivery. Too bad, because I really wanted a smaller freezer, but the quality difference is so extreme, I think I'll be glad I paid almost 3 times the money for the bigger unit.
