It is a 4 device remote with some limited volume control for your sound bar. It will allow you to control volume up/down and mute functions. But you will need a 2nd remote to power the sound bar on/off.

Posted .If you use an Activity that contains the audio device (for example Watch TV), hold down the Power key for 3 seconds from within that Activity and it will send power to all devices in the Activity, including Audio. For an explanation of Activities, please refer to your manual.

Great basic universal remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to program and use. I use it to control my Roku TCL TV, cable box, and Blu-ray player. I can turn all the devises on and off with one button, and also has some other programmable buttons, which I use for my favorite channels. There are also buttons which I use as shortcuts for Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. Only downside is that it does not control my receiver. It will turn the receiver on and off along with the other components, and can adjust the volume, but cannot control other features of the receiver. Not too big of a deal, since I do not usually need to do anything with the receiver, but would be nice. That's the only thing keeping it from being 5 stars.

By accident the original remote was thrown away and my TV has no external buttons, therefore making it unusable. My husband set up the new remote without any issues. Great device plus it was on sale at BestBuy! Win, win!
