SCREEN WENT BLACK AFTER 1 1/2 YRS HORRIBLE

Unfortunately, I could not afford to buy the protection plan. My luck after a year and a half while watching tv the picture went dim 3/4 of the tv. Come to find out Geek squad doesnt work on anything above 42' tv and warranty is only a year (convenient). Geek squad rep was so rude to me when I called, literally while laughing at me, told me to find a local person (if i could) or buy a protection plan. Seriously sick about this purchase. I may not have alot to spend, but what i do have will never go to best buy again. Not only did you sell me a terrible tv, you were then rude to me on top of everything else. Dont buy insignia brand go with a better & realiable brand!!!

It started out ok

We would have to unplug it ro get the sound back. Then it became constant. One day it did the opposite! The volume went all the up and wouldnt go down! We had to unplug it. We returned it the next day for a Samsung. I will never by an Insignia again.

4K not as clear/crisp as My Vizio 4k

The sound quality sucks!

Was great for 20 days

I returned the product but couldn't get a replacement because it was past the 15 day return policy. They geek squad has sent the tv off for repair which will take 1-2 week so I am left without a tv during this time. Not pleased with this.

Was a good TV until...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was a great TV until it started having issues when you would turn volume up and down. the screen would distort and have horizontal lines while accessing remote. I returned it for a different Brand/Model. If you buy one, BUY THE GEEK SQUAD WARRANTY and then you'll have no worries. ;) It ended up being an issue with the PC Board in the TV.

Stick to a name brand
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While you might think that you will be okay with Insignia because it is Best Buy's brand, you could not be more wrong. Stick with a better brand or one that specializes in tvs rather than a jack of all trades off name brand like Insignia or JVC. This tv did not have a great picture, the whites were too white and there was noise. The unit was also not the best build, mainly the stand. Not only was it the ugliest stand that I have seen, but mine was sharp and jagged, definitely not good if you have kids. I gashed my hand open on it while trying to tidy up my cord feeds and bled quite a bit. Stick with new model HiSense (H8) or Phillips; or get a Vizio, LG, or Samsung if you have some extra money.

4k shutters on slow pans

Cons: The 4k shutters on slow pans. The problem is that all of 4k content is slow panning so you can supposed to see how much cool detail there is. All I focus on is the shutter as I try and take in the scenes. I'm using a 4k direct TV box and they have replaced equipment several times. I'm starting to think I have a lemon TV, but I'm past my return period. I'm curious if anyone has seen this terrible shutter and what settings did you change to fix it?
