A TV with too much unneeded stuff on it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not have a clue we were buying a "smart" TV. Had lots of stuff we did not want or need on it so returning it. We were told by installer that our remotes would easily work with this TV. They do not and having to use two separate remotes just to watch tv is aggravating.

Posted .Hello KellyD, I am sorry to read that you had a difficult time setting up the TV. The unit you had is a newly addition to the Insignia Family with a collaboration with Amazon. Most of the universal remotes work with this unit and can use 1 remote at a time. Please contact us in the future to help you check options, we would gladly assist you.

Beware of Geek Squad Warranty!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV went black after 2 years. Geek Squad warranty was useless. TV was unable to be repaired and Geek Squad was only willing to give me a credit for the original price. As everyone knows, prices have skyrocketed in the last two years and to buy the same TV would cost me an additional $100+. I wouldn’t pay 2 cents for this TV and will never buy from Best Buy again. Anyone who purchases a Geek Squad warranty…Buyer Beware.

Avoid insignia anything
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am ever so upset after much research having to replace a TV for a elder parent do to Calif. PSPS power surge that killed their tv. And Choose this Tv over others as i replaced all damaged components with updated Alexa smart home . But Best By rep failed to inform me that last month they eliminated the Insignia Skill for alexa.. making this Tv and all insignia products worthless.. spent half the day trying to get things running and the whole day yesterday getting this piece of junk.. the tv is nice but if you want it to integrate with hands free smart home system keep looking.

picture not great, to little memory
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is very little difference in quality between the picture on my samsung 1080p and this insignia 4k. So little internal memory that i cant even have all my movie/tv apps on it. Forget about any kind of real games. Added external memory but it only puts the apps application data on it which is only a few megabytes. But none of the apps acutal data which is the bulk of the memory use. So its useless adding external memory to it. All these great capabilities rendered meaningless by both hardware and programming inadequacies. This is my first experience with Fire tv and insignia. Im so greatly disappointed with my purchase that i will NEVER have anything to do with either company agian.

Too many ads
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this tv for a year. It's ok. However, in the past few months it has turned into one big advertisement for every platform there is. It is using so much memory that I had to delete my own info just to be able to watch a movie. Very unhappy with it.

not staying connected to wifi
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is trash. It looks good and all, but a "smart" tv shouldn't have issues staying connected to the wifi. This is false advertising. And now I have to go through the hassle of returning it.

No more insignias for me
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought it was great with firetv built in until it went black on me one month after warranty was up. Then I found out that’s a common problem with this brand. Never again.

Remote does not work anymore
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We tried all the resetting tricks and fresh batteries. Still does not work. And now I can't find a reasonable replacement. Makes the TV a piece of junk without a remote to use it.

Doesn’t work consistently
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When we hooked the tv up, the remote wouldn’t connect to it. After 45 minutes on the phone...twice...finally got it to work. A week later, same problem. Now 3 weeks later the tv won’t turn on with any remote, the only way to get it to work is to unplug it and set it up again. Not very convenient with a 50 inch tv in a 51 inch space.

Wide shadow band appears on screen :(
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just over a year owning this tv - and suddenly we notice a dark wide shadow band appearing in the middle of the screen today…after an hour on the phone from the ‘contact us’ in settings with Amazon - misc. troubleshooting/ still no help fixing the issue. A TV purchased within this timeframe should not be flickering on the restart screen and showing a shadow band when regular screen tv appears. This tv has been wall mounted for some time, no damage or anything happened to it to make it have anything wrong.
