    this unit replaced a failed power supply in an older Dell Optiplex 320 mini tower. Simple plug and play. Unit now back in operation.

    I installed this Insignia 520 watt PS as an upgrade to a OEM Dell 340 watt PS. Dell apparently under engineered the design requirements for their XPS Multimedia workstation such that when a second HD and additional memory is added the 340 PS is overwhelmed, especially at PC Power On. The Insignia 520 watt PS cured all the Dells problems, right out of the box.

    I bought a new video card and was told before hand that I should probably go ahead and buy a bigger power supply I didn't and kept getting kicked out of a game due to overheating after buying and getting a friend to help me install ive had no more problems my advice would be to go ahead and spend a little more now instead of a lot more later
