TV failed after 1 minute of use, picture went out, after 2 minutes sound went out. Had to return, staff was jerky about the return, condescending and bashed the brand (Insignia, their own brand...lol), and bragged about having no problems with their own Sony TVs. I went elsewhere and purchased another brand.

The price was Great , But the Quality of Picture LCD /Color is Horrible. Color are not sharp Compare to Phillips TV I have. -- You are paying for Bigger Screen But NOT Bigger Quality. I will not recommend if you want Sharp picture quality. Vizio, Panasonic, vizio, have way better quality.

Bought tv that was not correct one in box and different size and model and didn’t work store took tv and box upon returning to correct this problem and didn’t give me a different tv nor my money back so I’m just out three hundred dollars thanks a lot best buy

There was something wrong with the sound After about 15 minutes, it sounded muffled and nothing I did would fix it. I had to return it.

I bought this TV based on reviews and price ($279 on sale). I had purchased a budget 4K TV and just wasn't happy with it, so I returned it and bought this "old school" 1080 instead. Big 1080's are getting scarce these days, but I thought this would be fine for my needs.
Overall picture quality is quite good, though I had a hard time tweaking the settings to get flesh tones exactly right. Overall colors, resolution, contrast, and brightness are fine.
I was surprised that this TV actually has decent sound, unlike a lot of other cheap TV's. It won't compare to any kind of soundbar or other external audio system, but internal speakers sound fine and don't have the "tinny" sound like found on a bunch of other LED TV's.
Overall, if you have more money to spend you can get a better TV with more features. But if you just want a basic performer without a lot of bells and whistles, you will be happy with this Insignia model. For what its worth, the BB guy said it was made by Hisense.

I have toshiba 40", LG 42", Samsung 46" and insignia 32"-smart tv . Now this.
Great experience with Insignia 32" smart TV , i have chromecast, Amazon Fire so skip smart TV.
16ft from wall to viewing area so 50"-55" inch. Bought Toshiba 49" Smart TV 249$ black friday, canceled order after saw InSign 55" @ the store check the review, glad i made the switch.
Sound is 0-100 + Digital surround(dts) and usually 55/100 is loud. We usually watch movie without- audio out to small Sharp 50W microsystem. With audio out wow movie theater.
Time will tell how long this will last. just bought this.

I bought this several years ago for my mom. It was one if the few TVs that was not smart which I liked since I could pick the right Smart device to use. I wasn't expecting this TV to last but it has performed well enough for this long. The sound is also unexpectedly good. Impressive for a house brand.

I wanted an inexpensive large-screen TV for our family room, and this fits the bill perfectly. I don't need (or want) "smart" features in the TV; I already have a Roku and a Tivo OTA. 99% of the content we watch maxes out at 1080 anyway, so 4K isn't really a factor.
Setup was simple; it only took me about 20 minutes to get it to work exactly how I want with our existing equipment. The built-in speakers are just OK, but they're on par with other TVs in this price range. I feel like we got a good value for what we paid, and I'd buy it again.

This is our third Insignia TV.
The first two are over four years and two years old respectively. with no issues.
Both this and the 50" we own have very good built in sound quality.Good flesh tones and picture sharpness

Just had this tv installed by the Geek Squad--I REALLY like it!!..It replaced a 65" Vizio that 'Crapped out' and was just over 2 years old and cost THREE times as much ((..This tv has a better quality picture than the more costly Vizio when it was NEW! Oh AND.. the 'Geek Squad' installation guys did an OUTSTANDING job on the installation!!..THANKS!!...
