mike did not work with borrowed video camera...not sure if fault in this cable for mike.

Purchased this about three weeks ago and used it three times. The wires have already started to separate from the headphone jack. I guess you get what you pay for. The last cord that I used the same way worked for a year and was around $20. Don't buy this spend a little more for a quality product.

I questioned Best Buy before I purchased (2) of these cables. I asked "will they work with an iPhone" they replied, of course. And the answer is, NEGATIVE. This adapter will work with most cell phone devices but never an iPhone. I had to research the answers and dig deep to find solutions.

It's possible it could be a TV issue, but the connection I had between my headphone Jack and the female end of this cable was super loose and when pushed all the way in I had to turn up the TV to almost all the way up in order to just hear it at a reasonable volume.

Worked great... for about a Month. I bought this to extend headphones from the jack in the back of a minivan to the middle row. A variaty of available lenghts would have been nice as 6' was on the short side. I had to replace it already and of course went with a different brand.

Have to wiggle the connector where I plug my headphones in before I can hear from both sides. Tried 3 different headphones and all were the same. Once connected it is fine until you move or bump the connector. Would not purchase this again.

Returned it because of poor connection to headphones. Felt like a good snapped in fit, but movement of the cable near the female end caused sound to drop out. It is cheap enough to give it a try, but only if it is convenient to return.

What can I say. This cable is long and does not pick up static when play through the speakers.

This 6 foot extension cable does the job. My Xbox 360 headset broke and I didn't want to buy another gaming headset (I hardly chat) so I bought this extension cable so I could use regular earbuds/headphones to hear in game sounds and television. Great price and value.

This extension was perfect for the money. My headphone cable was too short, but not anymore!

My headset has only a 1ft cable. So, i bought it, and if your headset has a working mic, you can not use it with this. My mic works perfectly fine when directly plugged into the pc, so yeah. I would reccomend this to a freind ONLY if they didn't need it for a mic.

I purchased this for a quick extension to my headset to use while recording professionally on my Mac. I did plan on getting a different brand but this was the only brand that was available at my local BB. This is my second Insignia product, both failed on me. I wish this location would stock better brands and not a bunch of no named garbage. I love BB, but lately it is harder and harder to just find a quality product for when I feel like walking into a store without researching a product beforehand. Anyone that shops at BB can agree it is FLOODED with brands even Amazon won't stock due to them being such poor quality. I realize that I could have just gotten a defective unit but that just confirms poor quality control on their end. I shop at BB because expect to get quality electronics that I can buy local, but this location has me second guessing my regular electronic purchases and I find myself trusting Amazon much more. The staff at this location are always extremely friendly and informative when I do need help but the Insignia products BB is pushing the quality products out of the store. This takes away a lot of price match options when the ONLY brand for the item I may be looking for is Insignia, which is a BB exclusive similar to Amazon Basics. This may be possibly a location issue as I used to shop at the Nashua, NH location and it was always stocked and easy to find what I was looking for. If this location was stocked correctly I would have walked out today with all the studio electronics I walked in for in the first place. Instead I settled to just pick up this cable for the time being to be safe and even that is a disappointment. This is exactly why retail is dying. Bye bye Best Buy.

This is a perfect audio extension. The product serves me perfectly, as I can now listen to my TV using small headphones in private.

I have been looking for a 3.5mm x 6' audio extension cable and looked on several websites for availability. I found this one on Best Buy and it showed that my local store had it in stock. Perfect. I use this with a pair of Skull Candy headphones to watch movies or TV at any volume I desire while everyone else is sleeping.

Needed to extend the cord of my remote IR receiver because I moved the cable box. This cord worked perfectly.

The cable works as expected. It isn't very thick so the wires aren't optimally insulated, meaning there is occasionally a bit of noise when you move the cable around. Other than that, it works great.
