I replugged the cord in, back of the monitor, and back of the tower, and it didn't work. I had an old HDMI cord and replaced the DP cord and the monitor had signal. Thankfully its the cord and not the GPU. I wish i could get quality cords from best buy but looks like this is the only available cord.

Unclear packaging

However, reviews of the monitor suggested that the DP 1.2 cable included with the monitor caused issues with stuttering/flashing with gsync which could be resolved with a DP 1.4 cable. Therefore, I was looking for a DP 1.4 cable. However (and someone can correct me if I am wrong) but there is no indication on the packaging as far as I could tell as to whether this was a DP 1.2 cable or a DP 1.4 cable. I bought the cable anyway thinking it was probably what I needed given the “4k ultra HD” description. However, it was only after returning home and doing some minor sleuthing on this product’s FAQ section does insignia indicate that this is in fact a DP 1.2 cable. Honestly, I didn’t use or even open this product (truthfully it may work very well and suit your needs perfectly) but ultimately I had to go back to the store and return it because it was not what I was looking for. I think clearly stating this information on the packaging would have been helpful. TL;DR - was looking for a DP 1.4 cable but this is DP 1.2.
