Although I did review this cord after purchasing to see if it's a better cord then what came with my monitor and it seems to be a good cord.

I'd never used a DP connection before but I'd seen recommendations to use it over HDMI for gaming. While resolution seems the same, I can say that I've never had stutter on my display since switching to this method, where HDMI normally would freeze for a second or two from time to time.
