I have used optical audio cables since I got my first set of Logitech Z-5500 surround sound speakers in college. It is much easier than the 3 component audio cables (green/orange/black) being that it's a single cord. For being an optical cable, it feels sturdy but like any optical cable never bend it or kink it! The audio quality is great with crisp and clear sounds. The ends are also shaped so there is no chance of inserting it the wrong way. Lastly, it comes with caps on the end that are attached to the cable so you will never lose them or get your optical inputs dirty when storing the cable!

Cable works exactly as stated in other reviews. I purchased the Insignia 4.0 sound bar and it's great and I used the optical cord in conjunction with it. I'm pleased and I purchased it out of box so it was a little cheaper. Score!

After setting up my home theater system, the audio from my tv wasn't working. My system is more than 10 years old. This digital optical audio cable was exactly what I needed. Insignia is an expensive reliable brand. It works great.

There were multiple cord options for what I needed to get my sound bar up and running. Given the price, I was impressed with the output....no need to spend more money to buy the pricier cord.

I bought this to install for my mother's new entertainment center. This cable was the perfect length and audio quality sounds fantastic. No need to spend money on more expensive cables. Just be careful about bending cables of this type or you will see performance loss.

The CSR suggested that we purchase this along with our new sound bar as the cable that comes with is was pretty cheap, so we did. After opening the system and seeing the one provided, I'm glad we did. Love the system and it produces great sound.

Much cheaper than the Snapfish cable but works just as well. The Best Buy employee was kind enough to recommend it. I'm a big fan of Insignia products and more so every time i buy one. They make excellent products. Love them!

It's an optical cable for the sound card in my new computer. It does what It does so I'm completely happy with it. Built well, Not too expensive for what it is. Was readily available from Best Buy. If you need one ... Here's a good one.

Cheaper than Monster brand products and just as good

I bought my wife a Insignia Smart TV/Soundbar setup so she can watch her shows on Netflix without any disturbance and put it in the bedroom for her (at her request). I already know that optical sound is going to provide the best audio for something like this, so I opted for this cable. I first hooked up the red/white stereo audio cables just to see if I could tell a difference with the particular soundbar I got. It's a world of difference. The highs are crisp and not tinny sounding and even though the sound bar doesn't have a sub with it, I can still hear the bass very nicely. The Mrs is very happy. She says she feels like she's in a theater. Now that I got her convinced, I got the ok to get my setup for my tv. Heaven, here I come!!!

Frankly I was surprised that this tiny, one cable thing would adequately replace dual cables for stereo as I'd been used to. But the stereo sound is terrific! I used this cable to connect my TV to my theater sound system and it works great!

I needed a new optical cable to hook up a sound bar. The sales associate at Best Buy recommended this one. It was extremely easy to install and works very well. The size was perfect and we have wonderful sound now!

Just what I needed to help set up my Sondbar that I got for Christmas. Definitely would suggest utilizing the digital optical cable to get the best quality sound out of your system. This was the perfect item and price!

I cannot compare this cable with others because I have never used this kind of cable before. However, I think it is working well and I feel that the quality of sound transferred from my TV to speakers is great.

I received a sound bar for Christmas but didn't have the right cable. This is the one I purchased based on a recommendation from the Best Buy associate. It's perfect. Provides great quality sound and was a breeze to hook up! Love it.

I didn't know anything about optical cables before getting my sound bar. This wasn't the most expensive but the Best Buy associate said it would work as well as more expensive one. I get great sound and have had no problems

I purchased the Insignia optical cable in order to set up a soundbar with my tv. A Best Buy associate recommended the cable, which happened to be on sale at the time! The cable has worked well so far and Insignia is a good brand.
