I purchased the Insignia optical cable in order to set up a soundbar with my tv. A Best Buy associate recommended the cable, which happened to be on sale at the time! The cable has worked well so far and Insignia is a good brand.

I have always used hdmi cables I thought they always were the best in video and sound but after changing to this optical cable the sound is incredible and way better in sound quality then hdmi sounds.

Perfect for the xbox to the tv. . I can't tell the difference in sound but they say it's the best so I overpaid for this cable. The sound works good, but I'm no audiophile, chances are you aren't either.

Bought this to establish a direct connect from my Apple TV to an older 5.1... works as-good-as the "big" brands for half the cost. Sound quality is great! Glad I went this route instead. I would recommend and I would buy again.

Upon recommendation from a Geek Squad repair technician, I purchased this digital optical cable so that the sound from the Internet would come through my amplifier & speakers and not just my smart TV speakers. Great sound.

I used this one to connect my Klipsch R-10B Bluetooth Soundbar. The fiber cable came with soundbar was very basic one and creates lot of noise and jitter. This one provided much better response

I was looking for an option with my new tv for setting up surround sound for the first time. I had used up all available ports on the tv. Best Buy suggested this and it worked great. Now I have an awesome experience with my products that I didn't have before, and hookup was easy.

The regular audio cable wasn't working when hooking up my surround sound. I'd never needed to use the optical audio cable before, but for whatever reason it was necessary on our new system (new home)... Problem solved.

Granted, this is a digital optical cable, but I've had some cheap ones over the years that have had issues. This cable is sturdy and just long enough not to contribute to cable clutter. Very well built.

There's a load of optical cables out there... This cable does the job well. If you're going to just connect it and leave it, not worried about flexing and movement, this is your cable. Can't beat it.

Worked great for what i needed, quite surprised by the quality on Insignia products. They seem to be just as good as the name brand ones. However the price difference is huge in comparison.

Didn't end up needing this cable, the sound bar I bought came with one. Package had already been opened, so I tried it out. Worked just as good as the one that was packed with the sound bar

I prefer to have enhanced sound when possible. This cable works as well as other brands and is lower in cost. I will get more for video game consoles. I used this one on my cable box.

At first I didn't know what I needed this for. The sales guy told me to buy it. Turns out it was the audio connector for the tv setting to the soundbar. Easy to figure out with very little technological knowledge

I needed a TOSLINK cable same-day for my parents Non-HDMI A/V receiver. Turns out this little nugget of 1980s technology is hard to come by. BestBuy only had one to chose from so I picked this one out of necessity. It might be worth 5 stars, but I don't have a lot of experience with other TOSLINK cables for comparison, so I gave it 4. PROS: - carries a TOSLINK signal 6 ft without observable error - has nice little covers that you cover the ends with when not in use CONS: - neither of the names TOSLINK nor S/PDIF were on the packaging,. If the sales associate hadn't handed it to me, I might have overlooked it.

Wasn't quite sure how the sound would be hooking the tv into the stereo with the optical cable but was quite surprised, the sound through my stereo is excellent and I would highly recommend it.
