To my surprise, an open box cable was available at cheaper price. It has been a great purchase since. The sound quality is much improved.

I was confused as the optical cable was digital optical and digital wasn't mentioned in the manual. This worked perfectly. I can now use only one remote and no longer need the soundbar remote
