    This cable worked fine. The only negative is that the connector ends are rather long, so if you need to plug this into the back of something that has the optical port facing straight out the back and will be mounted on a wall it might prevent the device from being able to be mounted flush against the wall (this was a problem with a soundbar I had). Luckily I was still able to use this cable for another soundbar in my living room which was not wall mounted.
