I used it at work, so I wasn't playing anything demanding as far as video, but the picture quality was good.

It is easy to hide for a very clean looking set up!! Definitely better then an hdmi

DisplayPort cables better than HDMIs.

Better refresh rate for gaming (getting 164 on DP and 148 on HDMI High Speed) and you can save HDMI ports on your monitor for a laptop or something else.
