Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the extended cable length, compatibility with NES and SNES controllers, and the reasonable price of this 2-pack of 6' extension cables. Many appreciate the improved playing distance these cables offer, enabling comfortable gameplay from further away from the console. While some wish for a wireless option, the vast majority report no lag or performance issues. The ease of use is also frequently praised.

This works very well. Although this is not a Nintendo licensed product, it works seamlessly with the Nintendo controller. This is a must have if you own the Nintendo system. Otherwise you’ll need to sit literally next to the tv as the original controller cord is way too short.

Absolute MUST for the NES Classic

This 2 pack of NES controller extensions is PERFECT for anyone wanting the NES classic. The NES classic controller cords are way too small and this cable makes them the perfect length to cross our living room from the TV to the sofa. Had no issues with either cable. They click into place securely too which is really nice.

Thank goodness we got these for our NES unit. My husband and I like playing the old games from when we were kids sometimes for date night, but sitting on the floor a foot away from the TV was not going to work for us old farts. These are just long enough to let us sit on the couch and be comfy.

    Necessary to have

I have both the NES and SNES Classic. Both come with ridiculously short controller wires, especially the NES which is almost impossible to use unless you’re sitting like 2 feet away from the TV. I don’t know what on earth Nintendo was thinking when they designed them, but these extension cables are a necessity to have!

Works great, as advertised with the SNES Classic. While the SNES controller cables are longer than the NES Classic controller’s cables, they still aren’t long enough for the average living room. I literally would be unable to play without them! I don’t think sitting on my coffee table would work out too well, all things considered.

    An unfortunate necessity

These work great for anyone picking up the NES or SNES classic consoles. Unfortunately, they make the controller wires way too short for both, and these extenders are necessary for anyone wanted to sit anywhere but right in front of their TV. Thankfully, these cords aren't super expensive and do the job just right.

This is a MUST HAVE if you have either of these systems. Don’t know why the original cords are 3ft, but adding this extender has allowed me to ENJOY these pieces of my childhood. Before, I wasn’t comfortable due to having to sit so close to the tv which made for short playing times. Now, let’s have FUN.

Does exactly what it says, providing extra cord length for your NES Classic controller. I was a bit worried that being a third-party product, not something from Nintendo itself, that there be some added lag time or other issues, but so far it works exactly as it should, games playing exactly the same.

    The cure

The cure for the short game pad cords on the SNES and the NES. The original game pad cords on the NES and SNES weren't much longer, but the TV's of today are big time different technology than when the originals were first marketed. We can now get much further away and still see the action just fine.

The cable that comes with the NES Classic is very VERY short, so one option is to get a wireless controller but most are not built like the original one so this gets you that nostalgic feel of playing Mario, Zelda, etc. using the OEM controller, 6 foot is more than enough for most people.

Those short cords on new NES and Super NES are a nuisance. These allow you freedom to play anywhere comfortably in the room and work great. My 60 inch tv is great to look at while I get frustrated playing my old favorites. Forgot they were so hard but it's still great fun for an old guy like me.

So far these have worked well for my NES Classic and Super NES classic. These cables appear to be of good quality, attach easily and securely to the OEM controllers and the consoles and can be attached to each other to increase the overall length.

At first, I wondered if an extension cable could really work, but then I tried it, and it did! You plug your controller's short cable into the female end, then plug the cable's male end into the NES Classic, and voila, you can sit further away from the console now.

I had purchased the NES Classic Mini since I loved the old Nintendo classics but after playing it for the 1st time, realized that with the short 3 foot cable, you have to sitting right next to the TV. I looked around and got these cables for half off. I would say they work. I haven't seen any real lag and it makes it more tolerable to play not being so close to my 4K TV. Haven't tried them on the SNES classic that I have still in the box but supposedly, these should work.

Its rare but check it when you purchase them. If they don't work with NES mini or SNES mini or the Wii. Then exchange them as long as you are within the days of the warranty. For the one I purchase the first time one of the extension would make my SNES shut off maybe, for some weird reason. But after I return/exchange them with a new pair with my warranty and test them at home. Then it finally work. Always keep your receipt and look at the warranty and see how many day you get.

A Necessity for the SNES Classic

Unfortunately, Nintendo didn't make the SNES classic controllers wireless or the cords long enough to reach a reasonable distance, so these extension cords are a necessity, especially if you want to play it while sitting a good distance away from the TV. I would definitely recommend this!

An almost necessity for the NES Classic, these cables were a nice surprise. Comes with two for the price of one in most other brands/locations, which works out perfectly for if you've got two NES Classic controllers or are going to use them with the SNES Classic, too

I have a huge tv so I sit far away from it and when i purchased my SNES, I knew the cords wouldn’t be long enough. So I found these cords and they are so helpful. I can sit comfortably on my couch without pulling on the video game system! It’s worth the buy!

These extension cables are a must have if you’re using the NES Classic Edition. Recommended if you have a SNES Classic Edition since that comes with decent length cables to start with.
