Easy connection of your Mac to an HDMI display

This works, but the adapter cable sometimes gets lost and requires disconnecting everything and reconnecting it. So, for my home-office connection, I decided to relegate the adapter to travel and the cable to my external display and that has worked much better. It's also less bulk on the desk overall.
