Works Good, but not what I needed

It worked for extending the desktop to the other screen, but it does not pass the sound. For some reason it wants to make the sound come from the other screen, which does not have speakers. I could connect speakers to it, but why do that when they are already embedded in my iMac. I ended up going back to a VGA cord with a mini DisplayPort adapter. I returned it, but the cord would work in most instances; just not for what I wanted.
