    I purchased this in order to display items from my Surface to a television. It works great - shows pictures in good quality and handled streaming shows well. You did have to adjust the volume a bit usually from what the TV was on - came in quieter. But otherwise worked fine.

    While it sucks that Macbooks don't have an HDMI port, this review is not for Macbooks. If you need to get a picture out to an HD screen or TV, this product is a must for any Macbook owner.

    Great price. Cable did not work with my older iMac. Screen would not stay on. Attempted to return but was outside of return date that I was told was 30 days.

    I didn’t have the right info about which cable to purchase. This was fine so I could use TV as monitor, but with my Mac laptop it couldn’t stream from it to TV. BE sure you know what connections you need before you buy. So it’s back to BestBuy to find the correct cable.
