But if you're plugging in any kind of modern electronics with even slightly large AC adapters then it's quite possible you'll only be able to use a couple of the sockets. Large or long AC adapters will use one socket and then cover another, unused socket. Also consider if you're using a USB hub --if it has cables coming out of one side then that will need to cover another unused socket. You can see where I'm going with this. All they had to do was make the sockets perpendicular to the length of the surge protector. Then long/large AC adapters could "hang" over the side. As it stands now I can only use three of sockets in my particular arrangement.

I had enough room to plug in my kindle, tv, laptop, phone charger, electric clock, and a lamp. We had thunderstorms, and I felt very confident that I had them plugged in. Nothing happened, everything worked fine after the thunder storms.

Big mistake. I tried both of them out after getting home from the store, and one outlet on each surge protector was faulty. I couldn't plug anything into those two spots. I simply returned them and went with a couple MONSTER brand surge protectors (found on sale) which work great! Go with a better brand that you know will protect your expensive electronics! The few extra dollars are worth it.
