Shreds it down to little pieces and cards too doesn’t over heat fast and hold a lot of paper. Just dust it out once in a while.

The removable top is surprisingly heavy, it feels solid. The cross cut leaves documents in very small pieces vs long strips which is why I chose this item. There have been no issues at all, it works great and delivers everything it claims.

When I unpacked it I was surprised at the weight and number of teeth. It looks like a tiny automobile shredder! It has a handle to pick up the too part, and shreds any paper into little bits about a centimeter long. Works like it should.
