I used thisbone several times and so far so good. I would agree that 6 sheets is max. A little thicker paper, it works a tick bit harder. One negative i would say is that when it is done shredding the paper, it does not stop running. I've turned it off, unplugged the cord and cleaned the paper shreds still in the cutter. It still will keep going when turned on. Otherwise no complaints.
