If you put 5 or more papers it sounds like it’s struggling. I think if you are shredding papers that are junk mail as they come in is fine. If you have a lot of papers I recommend a better shredder that is made for more papers. I will make this work and hooe it lasts. I picked this up because my 12 year old off brand shredder stopped working.

If we had a busy office it would not be enough but we just occasionally need to shred paper and it's perfect for the average household. We especially appreciate the credit card shredder feature. It is able to be put on Auto, On/Off, or Reverse if needed too. Due to having curious pets, we turn it on to use then back off when finished. Don't want any paws getting pulled in! Also, we like the window on the front to show when the bin needs emptying. The sale price was great too!

Easy to use and well built

The tank is a decent size so you can get plenty of paper shredded before you have to empty it. Perfect for home use
