The cable feels sturdy and the build quality is very good. It is uniformly black. It carried my optical output signal with no problem. I returned the cable due the jack on the back of the computer being too loose but was not fault of the cable.

Work really good for what I needed. Plugged into my tv and sound bar very easy.

Can not review but gave a 5 star for the arrival time. Unfortunately the Best Buy store is closed until after the virus so I have thrown the receipt away as I can't get my money back. It is still sitting here in the box. Any suggestions?

At first the sound had some static issues, but I solved it. Sounds great

This cord allows me to have good solid audio with a television that doesn't have AMR outlets.

Decent enough cable for the price. If you just need a quick optical connection, this works fine.

For tv’s that are not compatible with sound bar this item is an easy and cheaper fix

I was able to hook up a non-optic set of Bose speakers to the optic output in my new lg tv.

Worked great. The salesman explained how to use it for our problem. Hooked it as instructed and everything worked well. The salesman went above and beyond and really took the time with us to help,us out. That’s why we come to Best Buy for all our electronic needs and problems

Needed the optical cable for my sound bar. This one works as advertised.

I'm not sure what's to say. If a cable works once and rarely moves it will work for years (or until a different standard requires replacing it. It will probably work in that case even after years sitting in a drawer waiting for me to finally recycle it.

Optical cables perform better than audio cables, and we were happy with ours until the soundbar quit using the optical cable. Not sure whether it was the TV or the soundbar that failed, but a new cable would not work, so I know the problem was not with the cable.

I purchased this for my sound bar. Works great but don't understand why they cost so much.

Love these cables they’re the best alternative to HDMI cables. If you’ve used all the HDMI inputs to your tv & need one more well I’ll get an optical cable all TVs should come with an option to plug in & most equipment you buy as well.

Did not quite fit the female adapter. Had to make an adjustment.

On our 3rd trip to Best Buy, a nice lady showed us these and the Insignia™ - Optical/Coaxial Digital-to-Analog Converter that we had to purchase to hook up our new headphones to our TV. They added about $30 to the price, but now Gramma's headphones work great.

It is a little pricey but it the cheapest wire for the length. Works very well through.
