    Does the cable work as advertised? Yes. Is it fast? Yes. Is it User Friendly? NOPE! Virtually none of the instructions or the screen shots of windows that are said to appear, are even close to what actually happens. Setting are nothing like what is in the instructions. Consequently instructions are pretty much useless and it you aren't a little tech savvy you will probably not be able to make it work. As for recommending the product, I said yes, but that depends on the individual using it.

    The File Transfer Cable is very versatile. The adapter is very handy. I gave it a four, because it was a bit too long, and they were out of shorter ones.

    It works, but I'm not happy with the results. The timestamp for each file is retained (I'm happy with that), but the timestamp for each folder is set to the current system date and time (NOT happy with that). Folder timestamps are important to me. I could have done the exact same thing by copying files and folders to my 6T external drive, then plugging in the external drive to my new PC, then copying and pasting the files and folders. I'll probably have to resort to Zipping my files and folders.
