    :( when a cable is returned and resealed and sold open box, it might mean someone else didn't find it to meet their needs. It might have ultimately worked with more research or downloads or whatever, but did not meet my time frame for moving data from old computer to new, we found simply using the external drive as temporary storage to be much simpler and straightforward.
