Stupid pictures that do not match up with FTP, so difficult to know whether files were transferred correctly and guess what They weren't had to go back multiple times to try to get all files from one machine to the other. Still not sure all is done, just a hassle to use.

I have yet been able to transfer my documents from my old computer to my new one. There are no significant directions at all. The plug and play works but I still can't figure out how to use the program.

Adaptor is Clunky

I got it installed on both computers and transferred a couple of files, then it 'hung up' and kept saying a file transfer was in progress. Would not complete the (relatively small) file transfer, no way to cancel, removing device and rebooting both systems did not escape this message. No useful documentation and no online support.

File transfer cable not working

It correctly allowed the cursor to move from one screen to the other. Then it assumed incorrectly that the receiving computer was write protected (it was not). I had to return the cable.

I didn’t have the patience to figure this out when it didn’t just, easily, work. I found it simpler to transfer files from my old computer to a thumb drive and then to my new computer.

Normally they charge, but don't do file transfer if they're a cheaper cable, neither was true in that case. Not sure if it transfers files, I didn't try that part. But the cable was rather overpriced. Insignia = cheap products that have to make up for recuperating some of the overhead costs for the brick and mortar stores.
