Disappointed with my first Insignia purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Software seems slow at times. Speakers are lousy so needed a sound bar. Doesn't work well with my soundbar. Need to use two remotes. One for TV and one for sound. I had them linked for a while so one remote would control sound but it created other issues and eventually stopped working. After 2 years, 8 months the bottom 3/4 of the screen became darker making it difficult to watch. Thankfully I bought the extended warranty. First brand I have owned that let me down. Not giving a one star because when it works properly it was a nice TV.

Must have an Amazon prime account to function?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hate this TV and now we're stuck with it. First con is needing an Amazon Prime account. Basically you have to have a subscription inorder to use your tv. Second is there is no option to disable the sleep timer. The max time on the timer is 240 minutes and when it reaches that max time the tv completely shuts off. The tv does function, sound and picture are good. The 3 HDMI ports are nice. Overall I wish the BestBuy employee had mentioned the subscription issue so we could have purchased a different tv. Overall I hate this tv, wouldnt recommend it, and wouldn't buy it again.

Don't waste your money! Breaks in 1 year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV and was so excited it was a great deal; shortly after 1 year line appeared across the screen. Of course just outside of their 1 year warranty there is "nothing the company can do about it." No physical damage to the TV to cause this, lighting randomly gave out one day. Now there is a 6 inch thick flickering line across the screen and the entire tv flickers constantly. You can't even turn the TV on anymore without getting a headache. TV is extremely laggy, making the "smart tv" functions useless. Takes forever to search for things because the TV lags so bad. Voice feature has never worked since the day it was purchased. COMPLETE waste of money. Invest in a legitimate TV brand rather than wasting money buying 3 of these pieced of junk over 5 years.

HORRIBLE picture quality & HORRIFIC customer Svc

Not only is the picture quality poor but customer service is even worse! I called NUMEROUS times trying to schedule a return and exchange but customer service has put me on countless holds and eventually hangs up on me while they’re pretending to transfer my call. Agents also outright LIE claiming a manager will follow up but I still have not received a return call!! I am livid because I also explained to customer service that I recently had surgery so I have limited mobility but they’re still playing disturbing mind games. The first few agents sent false expectations claimed they would work on an exchange with a slight upgrade but instead they engage in sadistic mind games like transferring my call to Spanish call centers and so much more emotional abuse. At this point, I am beyond fed up!! Especially considering, approximately 25 years ago I purchased a Best Buy tv that went up around the same time the warranty expired. Whereas, my family members still have childhood tvs that work impeccably. I vowed never to buy another Best Buy tv now I am enduring horrific customer service from this nightmare purchase!! I STILL cannot reach a reputable customer service representative that is committed to resolving my problem! Hence, I feel outsourced customer service is a major issue with the decline in how customer care is handled!

Dark band across top third of picture

Life Expectancy

Once it reaches that max the picture will cease to work and you’re left with a black screen and volume. The problem cost more to fix than just purchasing another tv. Prior to that, television will work just fine. After invest in another tv.

DON'T DO IT!

The interface is horrible. You have to click several times to be able to access anything. It will not allow us to use the cable box, it just blanks the screen and asks if we want to use the remote to control the box - no matter of clicking (either remote) will cause anything to happen. Have to restart the TV. This TV is not even worth the discounted price we paid.

Not good if you want it to last more than year

Brought it on black friday and even brought the warranty after even reading reviews thinking the tv was going to last and it didn’t. Recommend to any one to get a television based on quality and not because of price.

More work than what it's worth

Not sure if i have a defective product but the batteries don’t last more than 24 hours. I have to take them out every day. If i don't the remote is dead the next day. Ive spent 50 bucks on replacing batteries in 6 months

Best buy doesnt honor warranty
