    7 Cu Ft. upright freezer

Quiet, convenient size in an upright unit, most uprights are larger. Like the shelving for ease of access to the food. The door is a little hard to open and tends to move the freezer when you try to open it, but that improves as you load the freezer and it gets heavy. Works well as of 2 months of use.

Great upright freezer, plenty of room. Much easier to organize than my old chest freezer. Keeps constant cold temperature, quiet running.

I like it because it is small enough to fit in the space I need it to. And it has the right amount of room in it that I need to store my stuff. I have it in an extra bedroom and it's just tucked away in a small space. It seems to be keeping very cold. I've only had it for about 3 weeks. But I would recommend this it's a good little freezer.

I really like this freezer, it gets really cold and stays cold which is what one wants from a deep freezer. I love the adjustable glass shelving, and upright position, makes it super easy to find just what you're looking for quickly. It's super quiet, I've never heard the compressor kick on, but I know it has because everything is frozen solid. I highly recommend this inexpensive deep freezer. Its been nothing short of AMAZING, in its performance. I highly recommend this purchase to anyone looking for an inexpensive deep freezer.

I'm a bachelor who lives life comfortably and wants to be well fed. I was looking for a stand up freezer, much easier to organize than the chest freezers. This is the perfect size for me. Actually fits more than I expected in there. Two of them became available at my local store and I had to snatch one up. Extremely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend to anyone! Can never hurt to have extra food around. Doesn't make hardly any noise. I've had the freezer for a month or so, hasn't built up much frost yet. Thank you!

It was hard to find a freezer with shelves (instead of an open pit, where you have to dive in head first to find anything!). We also wanted to pay a reasonable price. This model met both requirements and so far, we are very pleased with the purchase. We keep it in the garage, right outside the kitchen door, for easy unloading of food from shopping and access to food when we need to restock the kitchen supplies. It is compact enough so that it doesn't interfere with location of vehicles in the garage. Good purchase overall.

No problems with the freezer this time. We purchased an identical unit a few months ago, but it didn't work. This one did, and it's great. Lower price than comparable units. I switched the door from the right to the left, and it wasn't difficult (especially since I'd done it once before). We bought the upright with the small footprint to replace a chest freezer that quit working. Wanted to be able to open the laundry room door without hitting the freezer. Got an extra cubic foot of space in the switch.

Really good value for the price. Works well in my garage and is quiet. My only gripe is that there's no handle for the door. If I pull the door too hard, the whole fridge can come crashing down which is a safety issue (especially for kids looking for ice cream!). Other than that, I don't have much complaints.

Love this freezer! It’s not too big, and it fits perfectly in my garage. There is no ice build up (as what happened with my new Frigidaire freezer a few months ago). I easily fit a 15 pound turkey in there. Shelves move easily when necessary. The price was also one of the lowest I found anywhere.

Love the freezer. Unfortunately when I took it out of the box it had a dent on the door. No damage to box so it was packed from the factory that way. Read a review when researching that had the same experience. Maybe the low cost was due to a deal Best Buy got and they just shipped out damaged goods. It’s in my garage so I’m not going through the crap of getting another one. It works awesome. Super tight sealing door and ice cold with average frost. If you care about appearance maybe inspect it before you load at Best Buy. Also kid wanted to lay it down in my truck. That can damage freezer compressor.

Good storage area inside on shelves. Very happy with size and pricing. Read product booklet! When I put an item inside and realized I forgot to get another item out, I could not open the freezer! I had not read the instructions...you have to wait 20-30 seconds before reopening as opening and closing unit creates a vacuum.

Got this freezer because my wife wanted more space to store the various frozen foods she likes to stock up on. We went with the Insignia 7 cu. ft. because it was a good balance between storage space and price. It's a decent freezer as long as you keep your expectations in check; this is a basic unit without any fancy frills or features, and it's fine if all you want is to keep your food ice-cold. As others have noted, the shelves aren't wide enough in the front to sit securely on the front ledges; if you shift them to the side, the opposite corner will be unsupported. Even so, we haven't had a problem so far; it seems the weight of the food on the shelves keeps them secure, but I might get some weatherstriping for the sides of the shelves if I get nervous. The freezer also makes a low bubbling sound most of the time, but it's not annoying and something I'm willing to live with for the price. To summarize, this is a good upright freezer with a few quirks. It's not perfect, but it is reasonable for the price.

Bought this to replace a 7 cu ft Kenmore chest freezer because I was tired of digging to find that last package of green beans buried at the bottom. I love the better visibility of an upright. But I do not see how this is really 7 cu ft. I had half-emptied my 7 cu ft chest freezer in anticipation of transferring everything to the new freezer. I put the remaining contents into the new freezer, and it was FULL. I was amazed, so I measured my empty chest freezer interior and calculated the actual usable space, and it was really 7 cu ft. So, I don't know how Insignia calculates, but there is just no way that there is 7 cu ft of usable interior space. I have not given away the chest freezer, I am thinking about keeping it because I need the space. Maybe the curved corners and space wasted above each shelf amounts to 3.5 cu ft wasted, but I don't really think so. There are also really tiny curved spaces at the top and bottom that are kind of useless. Again, hard to believe this can store 7 cu ft of stuff. If you crush it in their before freezing, you could never get it out, LOL. This is not much bigger than my refrigerator freezer compartment. Also, the chest freezer never made any noise, and it did not seem to run very often. This one will probably cost more to use as it runs a lot. Worst of all, I HATE that they did not attach a handle. I have a really hard time opening the door as the magnetic seal is soooooo stiff. Yes, good for keeping it cold inside, but way too hard to open if you have something in your hands when wanting to open the door. I have to use both hands to pry it open. Hopefully, the seal will get softer after use. I think you get what you pay for. I wanted a manual defrost to avoid thawing the contents, but I would like a true 7 cu ft interior, a quiet compressor and fan, and a handle on the door. Missed on 3 out of 4 counts. Sorry, Insignia. Maybe stick to TV's.

Love the size of this freezer. Holds a lot and love that it’s a smaller upright freezer so it fits into our garage without drama. Would probably buy it again, but maybe a newer model? The freezer is left open a bit too much — Not sure if teens, husband or freezer is to blame. I think a little bit of everyone. The door bares watching… Double checking that it’s closed.

I love this! Great freezer for the money. I literally shopped 9 different stores to find the best fit. I needed the extras freezer space for overflow items and for meat (venison). I also needed something that would not take up a lot of space, which it does not. I was pleased with the amount of space there actually was and it gets, surprisingly, even colder than my main, Samsung, fridge/freezer. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased this small upright freezer to replace a large one I had to leave when I downsized to a smaller home. In shopping for a new freezer there were many chest freezer options but I am a short person and I felt that it would be very difficult to get to items buried at the bottom. All items in this upright are convenient to see and access. I do miss an interior light.

The White Insignia 7 Cu. Ft. Upright Freezer is perfect! We have enjoyed it so far. The purchasing part of it was horrible due to customer service. However, we needed it badly. The ease of use is great. Likewise, it fits perfectly in the space we intended for it to fit. It keeps the food frozen to perfection. Also, cleaning it is great also! It’s the perfect little freezer! We love it!

It's a winner for bulk kids food

So far working perfectly. It's a great option for us. We wanted to purchase more bulk frozen items but our French door refrigerator made that limited to a couple items at a time. Now we can have all our Sams club frozen goodies at one time which will pay for the freezer in the long run by allowing us that bulk value pricing over the grocery store costs.
