Does what it was designed for at a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than having to check the BB website nightly for a few weeks in order to snag a freezer, it’s a great size for a small family. More convenient then the chest type and takes up less room. It’s cold as it should be. Frosting a little. Makes a soft sound like it’s raining outside but not a bother. It’s an excellent price. Don’t know how long it will last but that goes for me as well. The door opens from the top and takes a little effort because it creates a firm seal. Can’t beat an upright for the price. Check every night from 12MN and buy when it comes up, otherwise it will likely be gone in the morning.

Great for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it because it is small enough to fit in the space I need it to. And it has the right amount of room in it that I need to store my stuff. I have it in an extra bedroom and it's just tucked away in a small space. It seems to be keeping very cold. I've only had it for about 3 weeks. But I would recommend this it's a good little freezer.

Good for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good value for the price. Works well in my garage and is quiet. My only gripe is that there's no handle for the door. If I pull the door too hard, the whole fridge can come crashing down which is a safety issue (especially for kids looking for ice cream!). Other than that, I don't have much complaints.

Great freezer!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this freezer! It’s not too big, and it fits perfectly in my garage. There is no ice build up (as what happened with my new Frigidaire freezer a few months ago). I easily fit a 15 pound turkey in there. Shelves move easily when necessary. The price was also one of the lowest I found anywhere.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great buy. And great price! Bought this to be able to keep a good stock of frozen foods since my fridge can only hold so much. No need to be going out to stores frequently since I can stock up for 2 weeks plus with this freezer. And the best part of it all is that it’s upright. Let's me organize all my frozen food. And no need to be digging to find anything like you would in the chest freezers. Only thing is that it doesn’t have a light. But other than that I have no issues with it.

Perfect little freezer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a small freezer, it holds a lot. It takes up very little space in our garage. I’ve only ever had the chest type freezer in the past and I’ll never go back to that. Although the cubic feet is smaller than what I’ve had in the past, this upright is so much better because I know and can see what I have. Food does not get buried. I will mention that the door seal is extremely secure to the point I have to hold the refrigerator in place when opening the door so it doesn’t tip over. I still give 5 stars because I’m sure it will loosen over time, and a good seal is a good thing!

Great Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this upright freezer/fridge to replace my 10 year old deep freezer. I have used it as both and fridge and a freezer on multiple occasions depending on my needs with no issues by simply changing temp on the dial. When used as a freezer I only defrost about 1-2 times a year by removing my shelves, a pot of boiling hot water on top of a towel on the bottom around the outside and shut the door for about 30 min. The frost slides easily off and wipe the inside with a damp towel. The size is perfect to store pretty much anywhere and it holds quite a bit of food that is easily acceptable. I recommend this freezer whether its for a large family or just yourself.

No more head dives into the "freezer pit!"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was hard to find a freezer with shelves (instead of an open pit, where you have to dive in head first to find anything!). We also wanted to pay a reasonable price. This model met both requirements and so far, we are very pleased with the purchase. We keep it in the garage, right outside the kitchen door, for easy unloading of food from shopping and access to food when we need to restock the kitchen supplies. It is compact enough so that it doesn't interfere with location of vehicles in the garage. Good purchase overall.

Freezer works great, arrived dented.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the freezer. Unfortunately when I took it out of the box it had a dent on the door. No damage to box so it was packed from the factory that way. Read a review when researching that had the same experience. Maybe the low cost was due to a deal Best Buy got and they just shipped out damaged goods. It’s in my garage so I’m not going through the crap of getting another one. It works awesome. Super tight sealing door and ice cold with average frost. If you care about appearance maybe inspect it before you load at Best Buy. Also kid wanted to lay it down in my truck. That can damage freezer compressor.

LOVE This Freezer!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a bachelor who lives life comfortably and wants to be well fed. I was looking for a stand up freezer, much easier to organize than the chest freezers. This is the perfect size for me. Actually fits more than I expected in there. Two of them became available at my local store and I had to snatch one up. Extremely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend to anyone! Can never hurt to have extra food around. Doesn't make hardly any noise. I've had the freezer for a month or so, hasn't built up much frost yet. Thank you!

Great upright freezer!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good storage area inside on shelves. Very happy with size and pricing. Read product booklet! When I put an item inside and realized I forgot to get another item out, I could not open the freezer! I had not read the instructions...you have to wait 20-30 seconds before reopening as opening and closing unit creates a vacuum.

Efficient, perfect size, and quiet.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this freezer, it gets really cold and stays cold which is what one wants from a deep freezer. I love the adjustable glass shelving, and upright position, makes it super easy to find just what you're looking for quickly. It's super quiet, I've never heard the compressor kick on, but I know it has because everything is frozen solid. I highly recommend this inexpensive deep freezer. Its been nothing short of AMAZING, in its performance. I highly recommend this purchase to anyone looking for an inexpensive deep freezer.

A basic and inexpensive upright freezer
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this freezer because my wife wanted more space to store the various frozen foods she likes to stock up on. We went with the Insignia 7 cu. ft. because it was a good balance between storage space and price. It's a decent freezer as long as you keep your expectations in check; this is a basic unit without any fancy frills or features, and it's fine if all you want is to keep your food ice-cold. As others have noted, the shelves aren't wide enough in the front to sit securely on the front ledges; if you shift them to the side, the opposite corner will be unsupported. Even so, we haven't had a problem so far; it seems the weight of the food on the shelves keeps them secure, but I might get some weatherstriping for the sides of the shelves if I get nervous. The freezer also makes a low bubbling sound most of the time, but it's not annoying and something I'm willing to live with for the price. To summarize, this is a good upright freezer with a few quirks. It's not perfect, but it is reasonable for the price.

Works great. Low Price. Fits in a small space.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No problems with the freezer this time. We purchased an identical unit a few months ago, but it didn't work. This one did, and it's great. Lower price than comparable units. I switched the door from the right to the left, and it wasn't difficult (especially since I'd done it once before). We bought the upright with the small footprint to replace a chest freezer that quit working. Wanted to be able to open the laundry room door without hitting the freezer. Got an extra cubic foot of space in the switch.

It's a winner for bulk kids food
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far working perfectly. It's a great option for us. We wanted to purchase more bulk frozen items but our French door refrigerator made that limited to a couple items at a time. Now we can have all our Sams club frozen goodies at one time which will pay for the freezer in the long run by allowing us that bulk value pricing over the grocery store costs.
