Small Freezer

ITEM WAS FAULTY RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pretty excited as this freezer seemed like a good value, so I bought it, brought it home, and let it stand upright for 3 days prior to plugging it in. As soon as I plugged it in I got strange gurgling noises. There were 2 thermometers inside the freezer and neither one got below 40 degrees in the 48 hours I had it plugged in. I exchanged this for another Insignia freezer that developed problems within 4 months of the exchange. Both of these were purchased with the 3 year Geek Squad protection plan and, after 3 weeks of waiting, I still have no resolution or commitments from them on how to get my replacement freezer fixed. I have spent 6+ hours on the phone, multiple e-mails, and no help from Best Buy at all. Even calling the manager at the store I bought this from has gotten me nowhere. If these freezers worked they would be a good value, but I will never buy another Insignia brand product again. Also, stay away from the Best Buy Geek Squad warranties. They have so far proven to not be worth the paper they are written on.

Good freezer bad customer service
