Nice compact upright freezer

We replaced a chest freezer because we got tired of digging to the bottom for everything. Upright is much more accessible. You can't adjust all the shelves but it's much more accessible than a chest freezer.

We made sure the freezer was level, but it still had ice on the side within a week. I knew this from reviews when I bought the freezer. But I figured the defrosting of an upright freezer was at least 5 times better than a check freezer. I had the freezer set at the minimum low. I got to thinking maybe it wasn’t cold enough to freeze food quickly enough and that’s why there is ice on the side. Yesterday I set the freezer about 1/4 of a turn from the minimum. I will be experimenting with the setting and see if there is a setting that stops the frost on the sides. Over all I am pleased to have a freezer that I could afford and is upright. This freezer suits my needs. I put a four rating because of the frost build up. The frost build up isn’t a whole lot where I need to defrost right away. If there wasn’t any frost on the side, I would give this freezer a 5

Great for a small cheap freezer.

Small size is good for the few extra things we cannot fit in our main freezer. Great for storing summer vegetables from the garden. If you have a large family or like to freeze lots of things from a garden, get something bigger.

Who doesn't need an upright standing freezer?

I have had it for many months now and it freezes everything solid, whereas my fridge's freezer only offers a soft freeze. It has saved me a ton of money in groceries and it works well. I am happy with this purchase.
