I accidentally knocked a solid pack of chicken off a pile and I thought I broke the shelf. Luckily it didn’t have break.

Perfect supplement freezer!

It's more or less totally silent and builds up very little frost. I added a rechargeable LED light strip to the top shelf directed down so when I open the door it slowly comes on so I can see everything. Great little unit!

This freezer is about 3 times the size our regular freezer on bottom of the fridge. We have kids so its stocked with easy and quick snacks we can airfry. You'll need to hold the side when you open the door, because the seal is tight and it moves otherwise.

It looks like stocks are now coming through, because I'm noticing more and more. I preferred an upright over chest because of the ease of access and ease of manual defrosting. I would have preferred an auto-defrost but that would have been three hundred more! I'm not sure about the longevity of this brand but it seems like a relatively simple product, so I hope it lasts. It makes some gurgling sounds--nothing too loud when operating. The unit came packed well and unpacking was super-easy. I'm glad I'm able to store some chicken, turkey and vegetables so I don't need to go the store as often. This Insignia freezer is a great buy and value!

So far it has satisfied our needs. There is no light on the inside but we are totally fine with it. Mine came hinged on the right side but it does come with the hardware to hinge it on the left. Deep enough to hold your standard frozen pizzas. If you enjoy going to Costco like we do, it houses plenty for us.
