    It does take a lot of water out of air but it will not set a humidity level. It runs all the time. The timer on top sets the time but not a certain level.

    I have decent experience with Insignia products and I trust in Best Buy-owned brands, however this seems to have had as many problems as it has solved... that’s the best way I can explain to be honest

    Decent, but doesn't pull as much water as Soleus

    It works but I have this one set at the same humidity percent as a different 70 pint Soleus I have in my basement. I switch their locations and consistently the Insignia pulls out less water and needs to be emptied less frequently than Soleus, therefore the Soleus seems to be doing the majority of the work. That being said I have endured 2 recalls on my Soleus dehumidifiers (my current one works great, but time will tell as the previous two died around 1 year of use).

    Broke down after being used 5-6 times. No help!

    I ordered this unit for our basement. The unit was used 5-6 times from the purchase until it broke down. It simply stopped collecting water from the air. I have tried all avenues and been contacting Insignia multiple times. However, since the warranty (12 months) was over, they were unwilling to help me. They instead suggested taking it to a specialist (on my own dime) for repair - a machine that lasts 12 months? Very disappointed in the quality and the fact that BestBuy, nor Insignia were willing to assist me in any way.

    Bought this to put in a 17 ft. camper to keep the Florida dampness out during storage. It only removed drips of moisture in a 24 hour period. I was very disappointed, and returned it.

    Two days of operation and the first digit on the LCD is now missing two lines. Annoying but still working so not about to lug this to the store for a swap just for that. Glad I bought the warranty.

    I purchased in July of 2019. It ran great and did its job in the basement. I left it unplugged after summer of 2019, then come last week I plugged it in for first time and it doesn't turn on. The std 1 year warranty just ran up by a few weeks. I wish I bought the replacement plan.

    This thing is so load you hear it vibrate while watching tv And it’s in the basement my wife is mad that i didn’t return it and now after a few months of listening to it I am mad at my self for not returning it

    The humidity adjustment buttons didn't work. Called manufacture, spent 30 minutes with them and they suggested to return.

    Nice quality dehumidifier...

    Works well so far, but intense summer humidity is not here yet. Very nice quality dehumidifier, lots of settings options, etc. Runs fairly quietly considering the size/power/capacity of the unit. Casters roll well. Power cord is of decent length too.

    Deceptive numbers

    Works great but can't figure what the 70 pint number relates to. The capacity of the drain bucket is less that 15 pints. I don't know why that number 70 is anywhere on the description. I would recommend this if I could figure it out.

    Started using after about two years of sitting in my basement, appears to have crapped out just over a year in. Otherwise, it’s worked great to keep our basement nice and dry.

    Very noisy and doesn't work

    After reading all the positive reviews, I chose this over other dehumidifiers. However, once I started running it, it was VERY noisy. I would compare it to a large old in-window AC. I thought that I could get over the noise if it did its job. It has now been almost a week since I had it running at 35% humidity and the bucket is barely a quarter of the way full and it seems to getting louder. I've located it in a room outside my bedroom and the noise still bothers me to the point that my ears ring when it sporadically turns off. Earplugs can't even block the noise out. I had another dehumidifier in the same location before and I emptied the 50L bucket once a day when it was humid and it was barely audible from my room. Unfortunately, I have no other option but to return this product.
