Q: What is the power consumption?
A: It's rated for 6.5A
Q: Low temperature operation? Down to ??
A: The efficiency of a dehumidifier really drops off below 60 degrees F. These are all tested at 80F for energy star compliance. This unit can pull 70 pints per day at 80 degrees but at 60 degrees it might only remove 10 pints/day. Q: Does the fan stay on when humidity setting or does it run continuously?
A: You have the option to have the fan keep going or the whole machine can shut off. On the top of the panel is a button CONT. with like a water drop icon. If you press the button and see the blue light on above it then the fan will continue to run even when the levels get to where you set them. If you turn off the button so the blue light doesn't show then the machine will completely shut off when the room gets to the humidity level you set it at. So for example if you set the humidity level to say 45% and you have the CONT button pressed and blue light on then the fan will continue to run. If the blue light above the CONT button is not on when it reaches 45% it will shut off completely. Once the room goes above the set level then it will kick back on. Similar to energy saving button on an air conditioner.
Q: Is there a filter that’s cleanable w easy access ?
A: Yes, it's on the back of the machine and easily snaps off you clean it and then put it right back on. You don't have to take off anything to get to the filter it's right on the back on the device.
A: Don't know the Sq ft rating but it does a very good job on my 24 X 56 ft basement.

A: I have yet to experience a power outage with this unit. As for the drain hose, the unit accepts a standard garden hose.
