After buying one for the back of my desk, I went back for 3 more. They're bright, have a decent amount of color choices and I have them running 16 hours a day. It's been a few months, no problems. For $20 you can't beat these, especially since you can custom cut them to length. I just unplugged one to see if it retains the color/mode selection and it did....so if you wanted to run these off a PC monitor or TV USB power as backlighting it should work fine. I have a different LED/RGB device on my TV and my monitor has factory backlighting. I use these just to add additional ambient lights. The last photo (bottom right) is washed out in the photo, but actually shines pink/teal on the wall like the close-up to the left of it. The lights are bright, but not as bright as they appear in the pictures. They're just right for me, but also have brightness level adjustments if you chose to dim/brighten them. 10 for value, quality is great so far, ease of use is 5 stars, but the lead wire would be nice if it was longer between the light strip and power switch. I recommend them to many PC and console gamers on social media due to the price/value.

Nice light strip, easy to use. Multi- colored. Husband placed behind flat screen tv & add a nice backlight. Would by again. Better quality that other big brand stores.

This is the third Insignia strip we have purchased and have been very happy with them all. This is the first one we had to cut to fit on the back of our TV, but it was super easy and works as good as it looks. The USB plugs in to the back of the TV so it comes on only when the TV does. Definitely recommend.

Stong lights and they dont get too hot..very easy to operate as well

I use them for lighting under my cabinets, easy to install and conceal most of power cord. Sticks well so far to cabinet. Wish there were more zip ties to hold more turns in place though.

These lights are bright. They are easy to use and install. The instructions are easy to understand. This is a great plug and play easy to use lighting system.

I use this stri[ around the edge of my TV frame for a cool movie theater effect. It makes gaming look cool too. I cut a few inches off for my TV. As long as you cut on the right area, it will work fine.
