    Its good to protect your own devices but make sure its the right joules and that its enough for the devices you plan to connect to this. Where i live we get tons of power outages, overloads and down charges which are terrible to my devices but this protects them for a while. Remember these have a limited life, if it takes too many uses or overloads and such it will stop working as it should and it will turn into a normal plug.
