I bought tablet as a gift. It is good starter tablet. Only thing is a bit slow. Will upgrade to a different tablet soon.

If you're looking for a tablet that's not just set on 1 thing to entertain your children while not trying to break the bank here you go.. especially if your child break things easily. It allows you to use Google play so you can download what u want for your child. Screen isnt too small & the battery life isn't too bad. My kids love it. Keeps them OFF & AWAY from my phone at least until it dies.

I should have listened to the salesperson who recommended I take an upgraded tablet with a faster processor for a bit more money. But for basic functions, this one works okay for me.

I bought this tablet November 2016. It worked, but has very limited performance when it comes to running apps that require more than basic processing. This is a true example of getting what you pay for. Cheap price, cheap quality. WiFi stopped working after about two weeks and will no longer connect to any network. Dont waste your money on this tablet.

I got this to do one thing and one thing only and that is to connect to my Dji Phantom 3 drone. It does that pretty well but don't expect this to do the same thing an iPad would. This is a basic tablet. Not that much horsepower. So if your looking for something basic to surf the web, play some basic games this is a good tablet.

slow, my phone works faster. restarts on its own when streaming via apps, battery life is weak. Good for surfing the net and checking email.

Good tablet for my son better than a Kindle for simple fact that it has Google play store. Only reason I give it 3 stars is battery life and weight other than that my son loves it

It's a decent tablet with enough memory to run kid programs and Netflix for children. We've had no issues with it.

For the price you pay, if your looking for a tablet that is basic. Worth every penny. If you need a tablet that is fast and you use on a daily basis... consider a better tablet

I got this tablet for my daughters 9th birthday and she's very happy with it. It is easy and safe for her to use.

It runs a recent version of Android. For the price I give it 4 stars because it works well for an inexpensive tablet.

This tablet meets my fairly specific needs, but it has some serious drawbacks that may make it less good for others. I bought mine on sale for $50, so I can't argue with the price. As other reviewers have noted, it's dreadfully slow. It takes forever for Chrome to start. Pages load slowly. When I read those reviews, I thought "how bad can it be", and figured they were exaggerating. No, it's really that slow. My application for this was to run an "electronic flight bag" app for pilots. This tablet has a GPS receiver that's passable (takes longer than most cell phones to get started, but OK); many tablets don't have GPS at all. The tablet runs the EFB app (Avare) just fine. I was also hoping to use it to download material from Netflix to watch offline. Two problems: 1) Netflix wouldn't install from the Play Store. The store thinks the app is incompatible with the device, and won't allow it. This is not the only device has this problem, so Netflix offers the app directly from their web site; but, it was a nuisance. 2) Netflix does not support downloading to this device, despite it running a suitable Android version. It's not entirely clear whether this is a matter of not having the right security firmware, or the tablet not being HD-capable; but, this tablet does *NOT* qualify. You can stream material while online just fine; it's only downloading for offline viewing that fails. While debugging the Netflix offline viewing problem, I tried to pick up system updates. The tablet came with Android version 6.0.1 (good), but only had security patches through May 2016 (despite being purchased in June 2017). System update reports "Check failed! Please check your network!". According to an Insignia user forum, there are no updates, and there never will be. So, if you just need a basic tablet, don't care about speed, aren't concerned with ever getting security patches, aren't interested in Netflix offline viewing (among possible other things), and you find this on sale, it's a bargain. If you need GPS, it might be reasonable even at regular price.

Works great. Easy to use. Screen is good size. Was a Christmas gift for a child.
